Open Access Policy

Jurnal Rekayasa Industri (JRI) is a fully open-access journal, which means that all published articles are freely and immediately available to the public without subscription fees or paywalls. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the authors.

1. Key Principles of Our Open Access Policy

  • Unrestricted Access: Free, permanent, and immediate electronic access to all published empirical research, technical case studies, and conceptual papers in Industrial Engineering and Management.
  • Author Control & Copyright: Copyright remains with the author(s). Authors retain control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited whenever their work is reproduced or distributed.
  • Creative Commons Licensing: All articles published in JRI are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
  • Wider Visibility & Impact: Removing financial, legal, and technical barriers accelerates engineering research dissemination, enhances global visibility for authors, and promotes knowledge sharing between academia and industry.

2. Benefits for Authors and Readers

  • For Readers: High-quality, peer-reviewed industrial engineering research is accessible worldwide without cost or subscription barriers.
  • For Authors: Enhanced readership, higher citation rates, and global reach across academic institutions, manufacturing industries, government bodies, and research organizations.
  • For Industry Practitioners: Immediate access to evidence-based solutions, optimization models, ergonomics frameworks, and supply chain strategies to solve practical manufacturing and engineering challenges.

3. Self-Archiving (Green Open Access)

JRI supports self-archiving practices. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their work (Submitted Version, Accepted Version, and Published PDF) in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, ORCID), or personal websites immediately upon publication, provided proper attribution and a direct link to the article's DOI on JRI’s website are included (see our Repository Policy).

4. Sustainability and Publisher Commitment

Universitas Widya Mataram, as the publisher of JRI, supports responsible open-access publishing. By eliminating price barriers for readers, JRI aims to foster continuous learning, support industrial sustainability, and advance research in Industrial Engineering and Management both locally and internationally.
